The next step in a possible new subdivision in Parry Sound is complete. At last night’s meeting, council voted to declare the lands at 71 Parry Sound Road as surplus which is a step that is needed before they can sell the property. Earlier this year, the Town requested proposals for the property in which they approved one of the ones they received which promised to build a subdivision of affordable housing as well as marking a portion of the lands for Habitat for Humanity. Town’s planner Taylor Elgie told council that provisions on the extension of services and a time frame will be included in any sale of the property.
