It was a packed house at the all candidates meeting in McKellar on Saturday. Over 200 people showed up at the McKellar Community Centre to hear from the eight candidates running for the four councillor positions and three candidates running for Reeve. Each candidate answered four prepared questions which covered OPP policing costs, audio recordings of council meetings, the remuneration by-law in McKellar, and development in the township. There was also time at the end for questions from the audience. The municipal elections take place on October 27th and McKellar residents will vote by telephone or internet. Anyone with questions about how to vote can contact the township office.
