Voters in McKellar will get a chance to meet the municipal candidates this weekend. The Manitouwabing Lake Community Association is holding an All Candidates Meeting beginning at 9:30am this Saturday at the McKellar Community Centre Hall. All three candidates running for Reeve and all eight candidates running for councillor have confirmed their attendance at the event. Candidates for Reeve are Ken Galloway, Peter Hopkins and David Moore and candidates for the four Councillor positions are Bonnie Beier, John Cole, Linda Filion, Morley Haskim, Jury Naklowych, Wave Weir, Mike Kekkonen, and Debbie Zulak. The municipal election will be held on October 27th and all property owners, permanent or seasonal, are encouraged to make sure they are on the voters list by calling the Township office.
