A report analyzing the North East Community Care Access Centre has been made public. The North East Local Health Integration Network commissioned the report earlier this year to ensure that the North East CCAC was able to meet current and future needs of northern residents at home or in the community while remaining sustainable. The report outlines the organization’s strengths and provides 16 recommendations to improve care delivery, planning, and budgeting. North East LHIN CEO Louise Paquette the North East CCAC must now focus on implementing the recommendations and increasing the efficiency of its operations so that it can maintain and enhance, where possible, home-support services provided to fellow Northerners.
