Two Orillia men have been charged after a marijuana grow operation was discovered in Machar Township. Almaguin Highlands OPP worked with the North East Region Drug Enforcement Unit after getting information about the grow op Tuesday on Simpson Hill Road. A 37-year-old and a 38-year-old face charges of producing marijuana, possession of marijuana over 30 grams, possession of cannabis resin over one gram, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and theft under $500. The estimated street value of the marijuana seized was $375,000 and police also seized $50,000 in drug-related property. The men had a bail hearing yesterday and will face their charges at a later date.
