Health Centre gets $50,000 donation to pay for vital equipment

A generous donation has the West Parry Sound Health Centre closer to paying for a vital piece of equipment.  The Health Centre’s ICU had to close earlier this year because the central monitoring system crashed and is currently using testing equipment until the new system can be installed over the next couple of weeks.  The Health Centre Foundation received a generous donation from the Freemasons of Granite Lodge 352 yesterday of $50,000 which bring the total raised so far to $164,000.  However, the system costs $440,000 and another $276,000 is still needed.  To donate, contact Lynne Atkinson at the Foundation office 705-746-4540 x 3346.
