Police are warning you to lock your car after a recent string of thefts from vehicles in Parry Sound.
The OPP says a few vehicles have been broken into in the Parry Sound area, with car windows being smashed in. Police say it only takes a few minutes for potential thieves to break in and steal valuables if they’re left in sight in your vehicle. If you have something like a cell phone, cash or a purse, either take it with you or put it out of site.
Police also suggest parking in a garage or leaving your vehicle parked in a well-lit area at night.
Anyone with information on these recent thefts is asked to call the West Parry Sound OPP or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
