Seguin council starts talking 2019 budget needs

Seguin Township is getting prepared for 2019 and some upcoming costs.

Township officials and council met on Monday to get the ball rolling on the 2019 budget. The Township wants to cap the tax rate increase at two per cent. Councillors also got a look at some costs for upcoming capital projects. This includes over $1 million in necessary road repairs and upgrades and about $740,000 worth of fleet upgrades.

Council candidates running in the upcoming municipal election were invited to view the start of the budget process.
