Operations Director explains delayed road construction projects

Two major road projects in Parry Sound are delayed.  At Tuesday night’s meeting, Director of Operations, Peter Brown, told council that construction scheduled to be underway on Wakefield and Dufferin Streets and on Forest Street have not started because of different reasons.  On Wakefield and Dufferin, Brown says the delay was to relocate a gas line which should be done by the end of this week, but it’ll be longer before work gets started on Forest.

Brown says he expects the Forest Street work to begin no later than August 1st and will push hard for work to be completed in the section by the school as soon as possible.
