As of today (August 31) the Fire Danger Rating for the Parry Sound District has been lowered to moderate.
No daytime burning is permitted, but campfires are allowed in non-daytime hours.
For information on burning permits and other restrictions that may be in place contact your local fire department or Municipality.
The Almaguin region lowered their rating to moderate on Thursday. Muskoka’s rating has been set at moderate for several weeks.
