Mental Health officials in Parry Sound want to raise awareness overdose-related deaths.
The Muskoka-Parry Sound Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is running two informal events this Friday in recognition of World Overdose Awareness Day. The organization hopes to remove the stigma around drug-related overdoses and promote the safe use of recreational drugs as well as recovery from drug addictions. Â The presentations will also provide education on the use of naloxone kits in an overdose emergency.
The events are being held at the CMHA offices in Parry Sound and Sundridge on Friday from noon until 2:00pm. Anyone interested is invited to attend.
