Parry Sound 33 has grown nearly 1,200 hectares in a day. Shayne McCool a spokesperson for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says because of the wind, the fire has grown to the north and east. The fire has crossed Tower Lake and a section of the CN rail tracks. The MNRF reports the fire is expected to continue to grow toward the rail line. However, crews are laying hose and making progress to the southwest of the perimeter and to the north and south of Key Harbour. Waterbombers also continue to attack the fire around the perimeter.
