Grundy Lake Park has closed because of smoke from the Parry Sound 33 Fire. A spokesperson for the park superintendent, Cheryl Moore, says there is no imminent danger. The evacuation is a precautionary measure because of increased smoke and changing wind conditions affecting the air quality at the park. Officials hope to reopen the park as soon as it is safe to do so. Park staff is going to all sites to inform campers of the decision. Anyone with a reservation will be able to postpone their stay or receive a full refund.
