Council backs a funding application for economic growth at the airport

Parry Sound council passed an agreement supporting a funding application for the Parry Sound municipal airport. If approved, The Infrastructure Enhancement Project would allow the industrial park to expand and bring three new businesses to the airport. Councillor Paul Borneman says if the Infrastructure Enhancement Project is approved, 15 to 20 new jobs would be created.

The application will be submitted to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and FedNor Canada for review. Parry Sound and Seguin both created the application as they collectively operate, control and manage the airport.
