Parry Sound Councillor Doug McCann has announced he is seeking a 2nd term. McCann says he is pushing for good year-round jobs, to help grow the tax base and economic development.
He says to encourage economic development and to increase the supply of housing, Parry Sound needs to re-examine it’s constricted boundaries:

McCann has lived in Parry Sound for 38 years. He has worked in radio, retail, business and has served on various boards and committees. Paul Borneman and Bonnie Keith are also seeking re-election to council. The deadline to submit nomination papers is next Friday. The municipal election is on October 22nd.
