Parry Sound received its only rainfall so far this month yesterday, a total of 0.2 mm. Environment Canada Meteorologist Peter Kimbell says with the exception of someĀ areas in Northwestern Ontario, we are experiencing the driest weather in the province. He says while the rain isn’t hitting Parry Sound, it is reaching the surrounding regions.
Kimbell says there is a good chance of showers over the weekend. But, in terms of significant rainfall, Kimbell predicts a cold front could pass through around the middle of next week, which may lead to a good amount of precipitation.
Kimbell says we have only received 78 mm since the beginning of May.Ā That’s only 30 per cent of the normal rainfall amount.
