Hennig found guilty

Thomas Hennig has been found guilty in the death of 56-year old David Robb.  The 24-year-old Whitestone man was charged with operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner causing death.

Hennig was set to appear for a Not Criminally Responsible hearing this morning, but defence lawyer David Lakie requested the argument be withdrawn due to lack of evidence and invited the judge to find Hennig guilty based on agreed upon facts about the case.

Sentencing is set for July 20th. The Crown is asking for a three-year jail term and a five-year prohibition from driving. David Robb was killed in a crash on Highway 124 in January 2017.
