Parry Sound council defeated the motion that council support the Sound Splash Pad Steering Committee’s request to submit for a Trillium Grant.
Councillor Jim Marshall said applying for a grant is premature as the final bill for the splash pad is unknown. CAO Rob Mens said a comprehensive plan is necessary to support a Trillium application. Council voted to have a plan prepared in time for council’s development of the 2019 budget. The location for the proposed splash pad is Waubuno Beach.
