There are three international students who are looking for a host family for a school year in Parry Sound. Muskoka Language International’s MLI Homestay is the local organization that pairs international students with interested host families. MLI Homestay Parry Sound Co-ordinator Lynda Marshall says it’s important that students are matched with families that share their interest and values.
Marshall adds the students are looking to master their verbal communication skills in English.
Marshall says the host family and the student’s family have a chance to get to know each other before the student arrives in Canada. The student will arrive just before the start of the school year and will return to their home country at the end of June. Marshall says there is a girl from Germany, a girl and a boy from Spain all entering Grade 11 that are looking for a home.
