The 17th annual Parry Sound Dragon Boat Festival on Waubuno Beach is on Saturday morning. 40 ft. long canoes equipped with paddlers and drummers will race to benefit the local charity of their choice. Dragon Boat Co-chair Sue Whitley says we really want pledges to support a local charity.
Whitley says the festival has endured because of the positive feeling.
The Rotary Club is providing fundraising opportunities for local charities who get involved. The event will also feature Sky-Mazing parasailing, live music, kids’ activities, a beer tent and a silent auction. The first race begins at 9 on Saturday morning.
