Home Depot and YMCA help homeless youth

The Home Depot is once again partnering with The YMCA in Parry Sound to help end youth homelessness. Home Depot is running a national fundraising campaign called Orange Door. Team Leader at YMCA Employment Services, Lisa Cook says the money raised through Orange Door help the Y’s Getting Ahead initiative which works with youth who live in emergency mode.

Cook says the Getting Ahead initiative helps struggling youth find economic stability in their lives.

Cook says Getting Ahead assists youth with making a plan to find employment, housing and sometimes further education. Donations can be dropped off at Home Depot until June 24th.  Customers receive a paper orange door for making a donation.
