Gone Fishin’?

Conservation officers will be on the water patrolling anglers this long weekend. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry reminds anglers they need to have a valid Ontario fishing license with them. MNRF Staff Sergeant at Parry Sound Enforcement, Robert Gibson says anglers have been nabbed for having an expired fishing license.

Gibson says with pike and walleye season beginning, anglers need to stay within their fishing limits.

Gibson says officers will be checking to ensure anglers have a valid license, lifejackets for everyone on board and not driving impaired. Learn more about Ontario’s fishing regulations on the province’s website.
