Police have revealed that it was a Tiny Township resident who died in a plane crash earlier this week.  A post mortem was conducted on Wednesday and next of kin notifications have been completed so Southern Georgian Bay OPP can confirm that the pilot was 69-year-old Michael Mannapso (man-NAP-soh).  The exact cause of death will not be released, but police say the factors contributing to his death are consistent with the events that took place as the plane tried to land at the Huronia Regional Airport.  The initial investigation revealed that the lone occupant was in the process of landing his ultra-light aircraft at the south end of the main runway when it came into contact with the runway and crashed.
