A local volunteer ski coach for over 20 years is being recognized. Georgian Nordic coach Peter Wiltmann is the recipient of the Heinz Niederhauser Outstanding Coach Award. Wiltmann says the award is named after someone who taught an important lesson.
Wiltmann says he really enjoys training and watching young people have fun on the snow. He says the ski club has had to adapt over the years.
Wiltmann says he hopes the award sends a message.
In addition to his work with Georgian Nordic, Wiltmann has also coached with Ontario Talent Squad and Ontario Ski Team.
