Parry Sound OPP lays stunt driving charge on Mississauga man

The West Parry Sound OPP is accusing a Mississauga man of stunt driving. The 30-year-old was pulled over on Highway 400 in Seguin on Thursday night, just before 10:00. The OPP says a north-bound car was driving too fast, and officers pulled the man over. His exact speed wasn’t released, but the charge is for speeding more than 50 km/hr over the posted speed limit.

The accused had his licence suspended for a week, and the car he was driving was impounded for a week. He’s scheduled to answer to the charge in a Parry Sound court later this month. Fines for a stunt driving conviction range from $2,000 up to $10,000 and could include up to six months behind bars.
