Traffic stop in Parry Sound leads to a number of drug charges

The OPP is accusing a Shawanaga man of possessing drugs. The OPP says it pulled the 48-year-old over on Saturday morning around 10:00 in Parry Sound, because the car had an expired licence plate.

The OPP laid a number of charges following the traffic stop, accusing the man of having marijuana on him, worth around $2,500. He’s now facing four charges in total, including possession of cannabis over 30 grams and failing to surrender an insurance card.

He was released on a Promise to Appear, and has a court date booked in Parry Sound next month.
