Parry Sound OPP lays 50 charges on five people in connection to investigation

Five Ontario residents are facing a slew of charges following a drug bust in Parry Sound. The OPP carried out a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant in town on Thursday, and claim to have found a sawed-off shotgun, brass knuckles, counterfeit $100 bills and $3,335 of Canadian currency. The OPP says it also found drug paraphernalia, suspected cocaine, suspected cannabis edible gummy bears, and suspected marijuana. It says the value of the drugs found is around $5,000.

A total of 50 charges have been laid across five people; two are from Parry Sound, two are from Whitby and one is from Oshawa. They range in ages between 20 and 23-years-old. Among the charges laid are possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of counterfeit money.
