Snowbirds airshow gets a thumbs up from Seguin Town Council

Seguin Town Council says yes to a Snowbirds air show in Parry Sound.

At its meeting Monday night, council approved plans of allowing the elite Royal Canadian Air Force squadron to fly low and loud over Seguin during the air show planned for June.

As part of the same resolution, council also approved the use of Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport in Seguin as staging grounds for RCAF aircraft including the Snowbirds.

In a second resolution, council approved funding for the event of up to $5000 including goods and services in kind.

Fire Chief Don Hood was appointed by council to the ad-hoc committee that will over-see planning of the event.
