COLD SNAP STICKING AROUND THE PARRY SOUND REGION

The extreme cold isn’t going anywhere for at least a couple of weeks.

That’s according to Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson, who says air moving in from the arctic is to blame for the extreme cold.

Coulson says we could get a brief break from the cold for a few days starting on Sunday.

Coulson says the average daytime high in January is minus five degrees, while the overnight low is usually around minus 15.

Coulson adds this cold spell is affecting all parts of the country east of The Rockies.
