FLASH MOB CHRISTMAS CAROLLERS INVADE MOOSE FM

The Flash Mob Christmas Carollers are on a mission of spreading Yuletide cheer.

Part of Parry Sound’s Whispering River Orchestra, the string quintet was one of the many highlights of the Moose FM Christmas radiothon.

Lead by artistic director Brenda Muller on cello, the carollers performed live, right from the Moose FM newsroom.

Brian Oxley and John Boyer performed on violin, Brent Osborne and Ron White on viola.

As Muller explains, part of their mission is just expressing their thanks.

Muller also believes that, as musicians, they have an obligation to spread Christmas cheer through their music even though they all might not be polished professionals.

The Whispering River Orchestra will be performing Christmas favourites from Handel’s Messiah Saturday, December 16th,  at the St. James Centre for Community on 24 Mary St. in Parry Sound.

Joined by the River Song s Festival Choir, the performance will also include the Hallelujah chorus. It all begins at 7:30 pm.
