Parry Sound may not the happiest place in Canada, but it comes close.
An Expedia.ca poll found that Parry Sound ranks 25th on the list of the Top 40 Happiest Places in Canada.
Mayor Jamie McGarvey proudly made the announcement at town council on Tuesday, December 5th.
Parry Sound proved to be happier than #38 Vancouver, and Toronto, which didn’t even make the list.

Banff and Lake Louise Alberta ranked number one.
The poll conducted by Expedia, analyzed over one-hundred thousand social media conversations using a number of hashtags to create the list.
It seems it’s our 30,000 islands that makes us so happy.
