Police warn drivers and parents to keep safety in mind as kids head back to school

Police want drivers to keep safety in mind as school starts up again.
The first day of school is just over a week away and students and buses will be flooding sidewalks and roads once again in Parry Sound. OPP Constable Mo Tilson says this is a good time to remember the fines that come with passing a stopped school bus.

Tilson says drivers also need to be aware of intersections with crossing guards. You can’t pass through until the pedestrian crossing is clear.
Tilson says parents need to make sure their kids are prepared as well before heading for the bus or walking to school.

During the school year, parents can keep up to date on bus delays and cancellations on MyParrySoundNow and by listening to Moose FM daily.
