After two years of fundraising, Treetops Community Forest has reached their goal of $200,000 dollars.
The organization has purchased a 2.3 acre property beside Parry Sound Public School, which will be turned into a community space.
The community forest will now review its development plan with the Town of Parry Sound. Trails, maps and signs for donor recognition will be built.
To get the forest ready for public use Treetops is organizing a clean-up day. It’ll take place August 30 from 4-7.
