Georgian Bay Eco-Dive needs your help to clean up the Seguin River.
Shawna Woods from Georgian Bay Eco-Dive says the plan is to clear the debris and garbage piled up on the riverbed.
The clean-up was set to take place earlier this summer, but with high water levels the flow of the river, organizers thought it would be better to postpone it. However, Woods says she is worried postponing the event might affect the turnout.
The Seguin River cleanup is happening August 19th and 20th from 11 am to 4 pm. Organizers are planning on setting up near Crofter’s near the river.
Georgian Bay Eco-Dive does a similar annual event at the Salt Dock. Nearly 100 people turned up to help out or just to offer support. For more details email [email protected].
