The Waubeek Street Reconstruction Project has been approved for funding by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The project will upgrade around a kilometre of water, sanitary, and storm sewers. It will also take care of roadwork along the same corridor.
According to council the total cost of the project will be $5,380,000.
The funding from the federal and provincial government will cover just over $1,150,000

The project is being funded through the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund.
Council applied for the funding at the end of last year.
