Parry Sound is putting money into sprucing up the town.
Town council has rolled out its 2017 Facade Improvement Program. It’s budgeting $25,000 to help improve the look of commercial buildings.
Local businesses can apply to improve the front and side of its building. The program will also help fund site plans and architectural drawings, as well as lighting and landscape improvements.
According to Town Planner Taylor Elgie the town will help pay 50 per cent of a project’s cost, up to a maximum of $25,000. He says this program is an investment into improving the overall look of Parry Sound.
Council will decide which projects they will help fund at a later date.
