Traffic stop in Parry Sound ends in three arrests

A traffic stop on Canada Day has three people facing a list of charges from the West Parry Sound OPP.

A car was stopped in Parry Sound before 6:00 am after police saw the car crossing over the centre line on the road.

Police say the people in the car gave them fake names during the traffic stop.
The three people in the car were arrested at the scene.

The OPP is charging two women and a man in connection to this traffic stop. One passenger, a 36-year-old woman from Stoney Creek was charged with several drug possession charges, failure to comply with recognizance and obstruction of a peace officer.

The other passenger, a 40-year-old man from Niagara was charged with drug possession and five counts of failure to comply with recognizance.

The 36-year-old driver, a woman from Saugeen Shores was handed several drug possession charges, four counts of failure to comply with recognizance, driving without a licence, using someone else’s licence, and failure to drive in a marked lane.

All three were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
