MPP Miller speaks to OEB and government about rate hikes

Norm Miller hopes the government was listening at the public meeting on hydro rates.
The Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP was one of many presenters at last week’s meeting. The meeting was organized to discuss Hydro One’s proposed rate increases with the government and the Ontario Energy Board.
Miller says he spoke at the meeting about the many stories he’s heard about families and businesses struggling to pay their bills already.
He says one senior citizen told him they can’t afford to go to the dentist after paying their hydro bill.
The proposed rate hikes would see customers pay around $141 more per year for hydro.
