Parry Sound opens new public washrooms

The new public washroom in downtown Parry Sound is now open.

Town councilĀ approved the new $200,000 washrooms to be built this spring. Director of Public Works Peter Brown says that the old washrooms were showing their age, and were also repeatedly targeted by vandals.
The new building was designed to be resistant to vandalism, with stainless steel sections and a surveillance camera on the outside of the building.

The new washrooms are at the location of the old building, on Seguin Street across from the town hall.

They officially opened on Friday.
