Carling Township man fined for trapping violations

A Carling Township man is being fined over $2500 for trapping violations.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry charged the man for trapping wolves and coyotes out of season, and for not completing the season end harvest report.

Along with the fines came a one-year trapping suspension.

Conservation officers inspected a registered trap line this April, and found 125 snares. The wolf and coyote season for 2017 closed on March 31.

The MNRF is reminding the public that trappers need to complete a season-end harvest report annually.
