Truck driver charged after hitting William Street bridge

A collision with the William Street Bridge has a truck driver in some hot water.
The bridge has a 3.3 metre clearance.
The truck did not meet that clearance, which caused damage to the truck. The driver wasn’t hurt in the accident.
Police say there was also some superficial damage to the bridge, but nothing serious enough to be concerned about. CN has dispatched workers to repair the damage to the bridge.
The driver is being charged with failing to obey signs.
