North East LHIN receives funding boost from province

Ontario is investing $23 million into North East Local Health Integration Network Hospitals.
Twenty-five hospitals will receive new funding because of this including the West Parry Sound Health Centre, which will get $626,573 from the province’s investment.
The province says the investment is to provide faster access to healthcare, expand services and procedures and improve patient experience for Northerners.
Ontario’s health care budget is $53.8 billion this year, almost a four per cent increase from 2016.
