Local youth raise over $14,000 for Hospital

Over a dozen youth ball hockey teams gathered at the BOCC on Saturday for the annual “Mosey and “Mosey” Youth Ball Hockey Tournament in support of the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation. When the games were done, the victors crowned, the youth of the Parry Sound area had raised $14,078 for local health care. This total surpassed the total needed to buy Gateways for Anesthetic Machines which will allow staff at the Hospital to better monitor the dispersal of anesthetic and patient vital signs after they leave the OR. Organizers of the tournament thank the many volunteers and sponsors and especially the youth of the area who participated, raising much needed funds. Organizers are looking at expanding next year’s event to include a Midget level.
