Bracebridge OPP has laid charges in the death of a child on Muskoka River. On Friday, a canoe tipped over on the river throwing a 37-year-old man and the 8-year-old boy into the river. The boy was wearing a life jacket, but went over the falls and died from his injuries in hospital. David Sillars of Etobicoke has been charged with impaired operation causing death and care and control over 80 milligrams.. He will be in Bracebridge on May 9th to face the charge.
