In the GMHL Northern Final Series opener Thursday night the Parry Sound Islanders took game one against New Tecumseth by a final 5-2 score. The two teams were tied at one going into the third when the Islanders opened it up scoring 4 in the third. Game two of the best of 7 is Friday night in Humphrey. Puck drop is set for 7:30.
