Norm Miller speaks against school closures in Ontario

Schools in Honey Harbour aren’t going down without a fight. The Conservatives are pushing the government to stop closing schools across Ontario, calling the consultation process unfair. Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller says the Catholic school in Honey Harbour is shutting down this summer, and the public school is on the chopping block.
Premier Kathleen Wynne says the government is trying to encourage school boards to join forces to use one campus. Miller says that’s exactly what the situation in Honey Harbour is, which is all the more reason to stop closing the schools before an arrangement can be worked out.
