Chamber of Commerce calls on government to close tourism gap

A new study says Ontario missed out on a substantial amount of tourism money in the past decade.

The Parry Sound Chamber of Commerce co-released a report saying Ontario missed out on 16 billion dollars of visitor spending between 2006 and 2012.

The study claims Ontario missed out on the money because they did not keep up with global trends.

The Parry Sound Chamber of Commerce has sent nine recommendations to the Ontario Government to help reach international trends.
