Childrens Aid and employees resume bargaining talks

The Children’s Aid Society and union representatives are back at the bargaining table today.

This will be the first time both sides are meeting since January.

Children’s Aid workers in Parry Sound and Nipissing have been locked out for nearly 8 weeks.

CUPE Local 2049 was at town hall on Wednesday to ask council to write letters of support to end the worker’s lockout.

Contract negotiations fell apart over disputes about the workloads of case workers in CAS.
