Parry Sound 2017 budget is approved

Parry Sound Town Council has a new budget.
The 2017 budget was approved last night.
Some highlights from the budget include a 3.4 percent levy increase on the town.
1.8 percent of the levy will go towards building infrastructure, and 1.6 will cover inflation.
Also included in the budget is increased funding to the Parry Sound Public Library, expansion on the skatepark, completion of Emily and William street reconstruction and new public washrooms for the downtown core.
