Almaguin mayor raising money for family in need

An Almaguin Mayor is hoping his fellow municipal officials can dig deep to help a family in need.
Perry Township Mayor Norm Hofstetter is helping raise funds for a planned build by Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North.
The township donated two pieces of land to the organization in 2015 to use for future builds.
As one of those builds becomes a reality, OGN still needs to raise almost $80,000 to get there.
Hofstetter has been instrumental in helping raise about $20,000 so far, even hitting up his fellow councillors for donations.
He’s now reaching out to other communities in Almaguin to show the same level of support.
He hopes to have the build slated for this year.
